Community Cohesion Conference
Salford

We participated in the Community Cohesion Conference in Salford, engaging with local communities and stakeholders working to promote unity and inclusive opportunities. The event highlighted the importance of creating safe and supportive environments where women’s voices are heard, valued, and actively included in decision-making. Discussions emphasised the need to ensure equal access to opportunities, leadership, and meaningful participation for women and underrepresented groups. These insights continue to inform our approach to designing community-focused initiatives that prioritise inclusion, capacity building, and engagement.

The Genomic Education Event
Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance

We participated in a Genomics Education Event in Manchester, where discussions explored how genomics is transforming cancer care through earlier, more equitable, and personalised diagnosis and treatment. The event highlighted the importance of integrating patient and public voices, ensuring that healthcare innovation remains inclusive and responsive to diverse populations, particularly women. Engagement with healthcare professionals and researchers provided valuable insights into emerging fields such as liquid biopsy and the clinical application of ctDNA in cancer detection and management.

The Move More
Salford Network Meeting

We engaged with the Move More Salford Network Meeting, where discussions explored the role of sport and physical activity in improving health and wellbeing across communities. The session highlighted the importance of inclusive approaches that ensure access to physical and mental wellbeing opportunities for all, particularly women and underrepresented groups. It also provided valuable insight into local strategies and collaborative efforts to address community health challenges. These experiences continue to shape our approach to developing initiatives that promote active, healthy lifestyles and equitable access to safe community spaces.

Community Engagement & Involvement (CEI Group)
Family Mental Health Support Dialogue

At RISE-UK Foundation, we promote community engagement through open and inclusive dialogue on key wellbeing issues. As part of our Family Mental Health Support activities, we facilitated an interactive session focused on understanding both mental and physical health and their importance in everyday life. The discussion created a safe and supportive space where women were encouraged to share their experiences openly and honestly, fostering trust and mutual understanding. Participants explored common myths, cultural perspectives, and barriers related to mental health, helping to raise awareness and challenge stigma.
